凍頂烏龍茶產於台灣南投縣鹿谷鄉凍頂茶區,海拔1000公尺,是一種知名度極高的台灣烏龍茶,並列為台灣十大名茶之一。一茶軒的凍頂烏龍茶主要是以青心烏龍為原料製成的半發酵茶,並以珍貴龍眼木碳烘焙,遵循古法製作,極為耗時費神。制茶過程獨特之處在於烘乾後,需再重復以布包成球狀揉捻茶葉,稱為「布揉制茶」,因此所製作出來的茶葉外觀緊結成半球型。

Tung Ting Oolong is a variety coming from the plantations at over 1,000 metres above sea level in Lugu, Nantou County, Taiwan. The famous mountainous tea is labelled on of the “10 greatest teas from Taiwan”. It is semi-fermented using the tea plant species called ruanzhi (or qingxin), roasted with the highly prized longan wood.
Beside that, processing the tea takes lots of time and effort. A stage unique to making Tung Ting Oolong is to wrap the tea leaves in a cloth, making a sphere and repeatedly rolling and kneading it, so that the finished tea leaves would appear curled up.
